Configure Call Capture in HappyDoc

In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up the Call Capture feature in HappyDoc. Call Capture lets you add and verify phone numbers that will appear on your client’s caller ID when you make calls through the app. Follow along below!

Navigate to HappyDoc

Start by heading to app.gohappydoc.com and logging in with your credentials. Once you’re on the main dashboard, you’ll see your schedule and visits for the day.

Open the Settings Menu

Click on Settings in the navigation to access your application configuration options. This is where you’ll find all of the controls for managing your call capture phone numbers.

Understanding Caller ID Numbers

In the Settings area, you’ll see information about caller ID numbers. These are the phone numbers that will appear on your client’s caller ID when you call them through HappyDoc. You can review the existing numbers and add new ones as needed.

Adding Your First Phone Number

Click Add Number to begin adding a caller ID number. This is the phone number that will display on the patient’s or owner’s phone when you call them. You’ll see two fields to fill in: first, click the Phone Number field and enter the number you’d like to appear on their caller ID. Then, click the Reference Name field and give it a descriptive label, for example, “Practice”, so you can easily identify it later. Once you’ve entered both, click Save & Verify to save the number and begin verification.

Verifying Your Caller ID Number

After clicking Save & Verify, you’ll receive a phone call to the number you just added. A verification code will appear on screen, enter the code when prompted during the call to complete verification. Once verified, that number will appear on the patient’s or owner’s caller ID whenever you call them through HappyDoc.

Adding Additional Phone Numbers

You can also add additional phone numbers that can be used to make calls to clients. These numbers won’t appear on the caller ID, only the verified number above will show on the patient’s or owner’s phone. To add one, click Add Number again, enter the phone number, give it a reference name (like “Staff”), and click Save to finalize it. You can add as many numbers as you need for your practice.

Quick Tips

Use descriptive names: Label each phone number with a clear reference name like “Practice” or “Staff” so you can quickly identify which number is which in your settings.

Verify right away: Complete the verification process as soon as you add a new number. Unverified numbers won’t appear on caller IDs until verification is finished.

Multiple numbers: You can add as many phone numbers as you need. This is helpful if different staff members or locations use different numbers.

Check your caller ID: After setup, try making a test call to confirm that the correct number appears on the client’s caller ID.
