Configuring HappyDoc to export to AVImark

Updated over a week ago

Once your AVImark integration is configured to pull appointments into HappyDoc, you're ready for the next phase of integration which enables HappyDoc to export a record directly into Medical History as a note in AVImark.

In HappyDoc,

1) First, you'll want to confirm that your doctors are set up correctly in your Settings. Scroll to the list of Doctors then click PIMS Details. Select the column name and ProviderID for each doctor. Column name is used to pull appointments into HappyDoc while ProviderID is used to export notes from HappyDoc.

2) In Settings > Integrations, Toggle ON the "Enable Export" option.

Then, you're ready to go!

  1. From HappyDoc, select a sync’d appointment from a recent day with a corresponding medical record.

  2. From your icon bar at the top of the document, click the Export button.

NOTE: The Export button will only show IF: 1) your export integration is configured by your CSM, 2) The visit's associated doctor is configured for export, and 4) the appointment was sync'd from AVImark or has a valid Patient ID.

  3. In AVImark, navigate to the corresponding patient. You will see a new row in the Medical History representing the export from HappyDoc!

Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: I don't see an Export button in HappyDoc?
A: There are 3 requirements in order for the Export button to show: 1) your account is configured for export by toggling ON Export Enabled, 2) the appointment must be sync'd into HappyDoc from AVImark OR have a valid Patient ID that matches an ID in AVImark and 3) the Doctor must be configured for export.

Q: Can I use the export functionality with mulit-pet appointments?
A: No. Unfortunately, at this time, export only supports single pet appointments. If you'd like to use a workaround, you can: Rename Patient A to "Patient A and B" ... this tells HappyDoc to process the recording as a 2-patient appointment. Record your visit as usual and you'll see documents generated for both Patient A and Patient B. Click export for Patient A's document and it will be exported to Patient A (aka, the PatientID you see at the top in HappyDoc). Then either:
1) Copy / paste your record for Patient B.
OR
2) Manually change the ID of the visit to Patient B's ID and click Export. Don't forget to change the ID back to Patient A's ID!
